About
QA Engineer. Builder. Researcher.
I'm Darien Brothers, a QA engineer who got tired of watching teams ship products that failed for reasons that were knowable before launch. In QA, you learn one thing fast: most bugs are design decisions, not accidents. Most failed products are the same.
So I applied the same process to building. Opportunity Intelligence is what that looks like: a local-first pipeline that reads public business conversations, detects repeated pain, scores the opportunities behind it, and publishes its research every week. Every score is reproducible. Every signal is traceable. No black boxes.
This site is part portfolio, part lab notebook. The metrics are live, the writing is generated by my own pipeline, and the numbers are real.
How I work
Principles
Local-first, evidence-first
My systems run on data you can inspect and rules you can read. Opportunity Intelligence analyzes hundreds of public market signals without a single paid API call. Every score is reproducible.
Deterministic over magical
AI is a tool, not an oracle. I'd rather ship a transparent scoring engine that's right for knowable reasons than a black box that's impressive until it isn't.
Ship weekly, publish the evidence
Every project should produce its own proof. The pipeline that researches opportunities also writes the weekly brief you can read on this site.

Building something? I’ll always take the call.
Whether you want to talk shop, compare notes on a market, or get the weekly opportunity research, the door is open.
